TOPIC SPEECH, 1ST TERM

TOPIC SPEECH 2022, 
1st term.




The TOPIC SPEECH, is an activity of a major importance for Colegio San Ignacio Alonso de Ovalle.  




IMPORTANT INFORMATION :

1. You are going to make a deep research of an absolutely new business for you.

2. You have to work autonomously and cope with the DEADLINES (time limits)

3. You are entitled to use computers at school and your family one AT HOME to finish on time
It is your personal responsibility to find the time and ways to cope with the deadlines. 

4. Each topic will be different, but you will be given a FRAMEWORK ( structure to follow).




Specific Information about your Topic Speech

1. In this Topic Speech you have to IMPERSONATE (pretend to be) , reckoned/well-known naturalist or biologist. 


Grade: 7th 


Project Written Stage: March

Video / Oral Presentation Stage: April

Topic: Wonders of the world.
Genre: Descriptive and persuasive.
Length: 2'30'' to 3'30''
Objective: Deliver a descriptive - persuasive speech to raise awareness about world natural wonders in danger to San Ignacio Students  through a  2'30'' to 3'30'' speech.

             

REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR TOPIC SPEECH

1. You must have a g-mail account

2. Topic Speech is entirely prepared using online resources (Google drive)

3. Final oral presentation must be accompanied by a full picture google slide presentation

4. You have to use dictionary.com ; wordreference.com







                   

5. The final delivery will be a great incredible Flipgrid video prepared by you. We have to see you in the video and the google presentation as well.

GRADING


a.-WRITING PARAGRAPHS 
(online format)

Objectives
To answer each question
To write answers in a text format, separated by full stops.
To insert connectors, in red bold type, at the beginning of each sentence.

b.  FINAL OUTCOME
Written final version + Google slide + final oral  VIDEO outcome in Flipgrid.

Your topic speech is divided in paragraphs. In each of these paragraphs your have to 

1. Answer the following questions and separate the answers by semi colons (;)

2. Check your answers are complete and coherent.

3. Add connectors after each semi colon.
